The Hair Stroke Effect brow technique is used to mimic natural hairs. Tiny hair strokes of pigment are implanted under the skin to create a natural looking brow. This is an ideal treatment for people who want a natural looking finish or to enhance current brows with a little more depth. It is also perfect for those who have experienced hair loss and don't want really obvious 'made up' brows. The colour will be chosen during treatment to compliment your skin tone and hair colour. The hair strokes effect offers a softer, natural looking alternative to the powdered brow.

This technique mimics the effect you achieve when you use a brow powder or pencil. It offers more of a ‘blocked in’ without it looking harsh appearance as the pigment is applied using a technique that covers the brow area from the inner brow through to the tail in one block colour. It adds depth, definition, and results in a more ‘made up’ look. When healed, you will enjoy a permanent, defined but soft powdered look.

This is the ultimate brow treatment. It offers the best of both powdered and hair strokes effects combined together to achieve a beautifully natural yet defined brow. The inner brow is feathered with hair strokes while the tails are powdered to achieve the perfect definition. Hair strokes are also added around the outer line of the arch to soften the powdered tails. If you want the ultimate and most popular brow style then the Combination Brow will be best suited to you.

What are Semi Permanent Eyebrows?

It is a state of the art technique where small amounts of natural pigment are placed under the skin, these pigments then lay in the upper dermis and show through the skin as a shadow of colour or individual hair strokes to create semi permanent makeup.

Are Semi Permanent Eyebrows safe?

Yes, it is completely safe! We work from a Sterile environment and fresh needles are opened in front of each and every client. Medical Health questionnaires are performed priror to treatments and Skin patch tests are carried out in the safety of your own home (instructions provided) to ensure not only suitability but safety of treatment for each client.

How many sessions will I need?

Our pricing includes the original treatment and a top-up treatment at 4-6 weeks, this will perfect the colour and shape of your procedure however depending on how the client's skin takes the pigment a further (3rd) top-up can be carried out for £70 after 4 weeks.

It isnt common for clients to require the 3rd top-up however it isnt unsual either. If brows settle well with the first two treatments then you will only require a touch up session yearly to keep them looking fresh.

Does Semi Permanent Makeup Hurt?

We apply a strong numbing cream to brows prior to treatment and can be reapplied during procedure to ensure minimal discomfort. Many people describe the procedure as a slight scratching but completely bareable.

How long does Semi Permanent Makeup last?

Semi permanent make up can last between 2 and 5 years, but regular top ups between 12 to 18 months are recommended to maintain optimal results and enhance your natural beauty. Microblading might be slightly less as the hair strokes became lighter quicker.

Do you offer consultations?

Yes, however we charge £50 which is then deducted from the treatment price. We like to think that our work speaks for itself and we have put together this informative website to answer any questions you might have.

What colour pigment do you use?

We have a variety of pigments, these are of the highest quality and pre-blended to give you the most natural looking eyebrows that retain colour for longer. During the initial treatment we will agree on the best pigment for you, taking into consideration skin tone.

At the top-up we can then assess whether to go a little darker or stick to the original colour.

Should I get my eyebrows shaped before treatment?

There is no need to get your eyebrows shaped before your appointment, we will create a shape that suits your facial structure in the clinic and tidy your brows accordingly however if you do decide to shape your eyebrows please do leave a minium of 7 days before you come in.

Following Semi Permanent Makeup treatment, your brow hair will continue to grow as normal and it is therefore your responsibility to maintain the shape of your eyebrows. Please do wait 3-4 weeks to wax post treatment.

Do you re-touch work done elsewhere?

For this we normally require a consultation, please start with emailing us with photos of your brows and we can determine if we can help. If its unclear and we ask for you to come in please keep in mind we charge a £50 consultation fee which is deducted from treatment price.

We do prefer to work on faded brows, therefore keep this in mind as we may suggest a session or two of brow lifting (removal of pigment) prior to re-touching.

How long does the appointment take?

The initial appointment will take approximately 2 hours. We never rush a procedure so alway allow for extra time. The top-up session however takes less as we will not need to map out the brows, however we still allow time for numbing so expect 1 hour 15 minutes.

How will it look straight after procedure?

Please expect to have darker eyebrows than normal, they can appear quite intense to start with but within 1-2 weeks the pigment will soften dramatically and fade by approximately 40-70% revealing the truer colour selected.

How do we agree on a shape?

Not one brow fits all, so we design your eyebrows based on your face shape using specific tools which are utilised to ensure perfect symmetry. If you usually pencil your brows in a certain way then bringing a photo will help to see the shape desired. Tattoing will not commence until you are 100% happy.

Do you have to shave or remove my natural eyebrows?

Absolutely not! We keep the majority of the natural eyebrow hair in order to make the brows as natural as they can be. Keeping your natural hair will give more of a fluff and blend in better.

Can I have Semi Permanent Makeup if pregnant or breastfeeding?

Unfortunately not, due to hormonal changes it is not recommended to carry out semi permanent make up until you have had the baby and have finished breast feeding.

What aftercare do I follow?

Dont worry, we got you! You will be given an aftercare pack with everything you need to know to ensure perfect healing. It is essential to follow the aftercare advice to ensure maximum longevity of your new eyebrows.

Do I need a patch test?

We will send you a patch testing kit home once you have booked your treatment with us. The patch test will need to be carried out a minimum of 24 hours prior to treatment. Following a non-allergic result please do email us at for confirmation of the negative result.
Please note that patch test only confirms an immediate allergic reaction, allergies can develop at any time.

For those that wish to come in for a consultation charged at £50 but deducted from treatment price a patch test will be carried out then. *disclaimer: if you have booked a treatment with not enough time for a patch test, taking into consideration suitability after the initial assessment, you will need to sign a patch test waiver form.

Can I sunbathe or use sunbeds before and after treatment?

Sun beds or sun exposure should be avoided for 10 days before and after treatment, once area has healed it is vital to use sunscreen with at least SPF30. Exposure to the sun over time can cause fading and further discolouration of pigment.

What happens after I book?

We will carry out the Consultation and Consent form during initial procedure however the booking form will have some initial questions which will need to be answered so please make sure you are an adequate candidate for treatment as otherwise this could result in treatment being denied and deposit lost.
